LERC is the labor relations arm of the FNA and is comprised of the Presidents of the certified bargaining units represented by FNA. Where FNA represents Registered Nurses for collective bargaining there are specific processes in place for the election of officers, negotiating their contracts, resolving grievances and dealing with workplace issues. Unit members participate in aspects of the Association from local and community service projects to holding office at the local, state and national level. LERC is an affiliate of the United American Nurses (UAN)
of the ANA.
