Roy L. Simpson, DNP, RN, DPNAP, FAAN, FACMI
Roy L. Simpson is a Professor, clinical track, and has more than 30 years of experience in nursing informatics and in senior executive administration. His primary executive research focus pioneered the development and funding of the Werley and Lang Nursing Minimum Data Set (NMDS). Simpson lectures extensively around the world and has published more than 500 articles on nursing informatics. He also sits on 12 editorial review boards, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, New York Academy of Medicine and the National Academies of Practice. He attained a doctorate in nursing practice, executive leadership/informatics, from American Sentinel University.
John Bibawy, MD, FACC,FHRS
John Bibawy is a cardiac electrophysiologist that focuses on the medical management of arrhythmias, Board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, and Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Bibawy pursued higher education at Brooklyn College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He then attended Ross University School of Medicine where he earned an MD. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital. He completed his fellowship in electrophysiology at the esteemed University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.

Group Registration
Advance Purchase Table for Ten: $800 Recommended for organizations bringing multiple participants to represent their group. Equivalent to the discounted FNA Member rate.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 28, 2025 Extended to April 3, 2025
The South Region has several scholarship opportunities available for undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Funding for the scholarships is provided through the Nurses Charitable Trust and the Royce Foundation.
All applications should be submitted according to specified instructions to the Chair of Scholarships, Dr. Elizabeth Olafson by March 28, 2025. Instructions are specified in the application file.
Undergraduate Scholarship Application Deadline: Extended to April 5, 2025
Poster Abstract Submissions
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MARCH 28, 2025 Extended to April 3, 2025
You are invited to submit an abstract for consideration to be displayed as an electronic poster during the Symposium. Selected posters will be displayed electronically on a rotating slideshow during breakfast and lunch. Poster authors will also be given the option to print a physical copy of their poster to display on an easel at the venue. Additionally, two participants will be selected to give 10-minute podium presentations of their poster in front of the live audience. This is a great opportunity to showcase your scholarly work and to initiate dialogue with other nurses!
All abstract submissions should be submitted to the Upload Portal according to specified instructions in the application file by March 28, 2025.
