Opening Keynote
Lisiane Pruinelli, PhD, MS, RN, FAMIA
Lisiane Pruinelli, PhD, RN, FAMIA is an associate professor in the Family Health and Community Science Department at the University of Florida College of Nursing, where she brings deep expertise in artificial intelligence and clinical informatics.
Before joining UF, Dr. Pruinelli served as an associate professor and clinical informatics researcher at the University of Minnesota. Her career in AI began in the early 2000s while working with hospital information systems as a nurse practitioner in Brazil, where her interest in smart clinical solutions led her to pursue a PhD in the field.
Dr. Pruinelli’s research bridges nursing, data science, and computational tools to improve patient care. She has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications and led numerous projects focused on critical conditions such as sepsis, diabetes, and organ transplantation. Among her notable contributions is the development of methods to measure treatment delays in sepsis care and their impact on patient outcomes. She is currently pioneering the first data-driven guidelines for managing liver transplant candidates and is expanding her work to kidney transplant care.
Dr. Pruinelli is a Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association and continues to drive innovation at the intersection of nursing and AI.
