Meet the FNA Staff

Willa Fuller, BSN, RN

Executive Director

Willa has been a nurse for 34 years. She has worked as a medical-surgical nurse and a clinical nurse educator for 14 years before joining the staff at FNA. While advocating for nurses is her passion, she also enjoys sewing, embroidery, knitting and crochet. She has plans to write the Great American Novel. She is currently a doctoral student at Florida Atlantic University.

Kaitlin Jordan

Director of Member Programs, Technology, and Marketing

Kaitlin Scarbary is a native Floridian hailing from Tallahassee. She graduated from Florida State University in 2014 with her Bachelor's of Science in Information, Communication and Technology. Kaitlin worked in a variety of administrative and marketing roles while going to school. Before joining FNA in 2016, she was the Director of Administrative Operations for a physical therapy organization based in Tallahassee, FL. Her background in marketing, communication, and administrative support allowed her to seamlessly transition into the world of association management. She is passionate about providing an engaging membership experience for the members of FNA. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and most of all spending time in nature.

John Berry

Director of Labor Relations

John Berry, originally from New York, moved to Florida and joined the FNA team in 2016. A baker for a number of years, John developed an interest in helping workers and has had the privilege of working in labor relations since 1998. His focus has been predominantly with health care workers, specifically nurses. He has also represented employees in colleges and universities, building service workers, and dental facilities, both in the private and public sector.

 

John considers himself to be blessed to have been able to work with incredible staff and memberships over the years that are dedicated to improving the lives of the workforce.

 

John has four children, two girls and two boys. He formally coached Little League Baseball, which brought him a lot of joy. He enjoyed watching how much the kids would progress from the start, until the end of the season. In his spare time, when not with his kids, John is a Certified Coach helping people achieve their personal and professional goals. He also runs a Men’s Support Group while still finding time to read and bake. His boys especially love when he bakes.

Leslie Homsted

Office Manager

Leslie has worked for FNA for over 30 years. In her "previous life" she served as the Director of Labor Relations for 20 years. After a short stint of retirement, Leslie came back to serve FNA as a communications coordinator and eventually took on the role of office manager. She is a constant figure at FNA and has built lasting relationships with many FNA members over the year.

Bibi Lowton

Program Specialist: Government Affairs & EGW Programs

Bibi was born and raised in Guyana, South America and moved to New York City at the age of 19. After spending a few years there, she moved to London, UK where she lived for 15 years. She moved back to the US, settling in Florida and joined FNA in 2002 as Program Specialist for Labor Relations. She provides various administrative duties on the State level for the State Unit, UF Health Shands, Rockledge Regional Medical Center (RRMC), FL State University (FSU), FL International University (FIU), Bargaining Units and LERC. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, swimming and walking & hiking.

Iris Lopez

Executive Assistant

Iris is the Executive Assistant to Willa Fuller for the last three years as well as our Membership Specialist. She has worked for over 35 years as an Executive Assistant for Fortune 500 companies in New York and Florida, before coming to FNA. In her free time, she is an advocate for the elderly and people in need, assisting them with Medicare as an Insurance Agent for the State of Florida. She also loves dancing and traveling.

Alfaz Habiban

Programs, Technology & Marketing Specialist

Alfaz joined FNA in 2022 as the Programs, Technology & Marketing Specialist. In his previous position as an operations manager for a golf resort, he was in charge of membership, tournaments/events and marketing, Over eight years, he was able to grow membership and helped run many successful tournaments, banquets and assemblies. After learning a lot about marketing throughout the years and developing his skills, he has brought his extensive knowledge to the role. Working with FNA, he hopes to meet new people, help nurses grow in their profession and learn more about the industry as a whole. In his free time, Alfaz likes to try new foods and hang out with friends. He has a growing list of places he'd like to travel to and is excited to be a part of Florida Nurses Association.

Christopher M. de Sanctis

Special Projects

Chris has a multi-faceted background with multiple degrees in varying subjects. He works on special projects for FNA.
