FNA Committee Declaration of Interest Form 2025

About Committee Service

Serving on a committee within the Florida Nurses Association (FNA) reflects a deep commitment to advancing nursing and shaping the future of our profession. Committee members play a vital role in driving initiatives that elevate nursing and foster positive change across the state

Expectations for Committee Volunteers

Committee volunteers are essential contributors to FNA's success. Members should demonstrate:

  • Commitment to excellence, professionalism, and advancing the nursing profession.
  • Engagement by attending meetings, completing assignments, and participating in events.

Terms of Service: Committee members are appointed in November and typically conclude their service in September. Committee members may serve two consecutive terms without reapplying. Committee meetings generally begin in January/February and run through July/August.

Time Commitment: Volunteers can anticipate the following time commitments when serving on a committee.

  • 3-4 meetings, held on ZOOM, typically every other month between January - August
  • Several hours outside of meetings to complete assignments (e.g., reviewing proposals or nominations)
  • Participation in the annual Membership Assembly

Membership Requirement

You must be an FNA member in good-standing to be a committee volunteer and must maintain your membership status throughout your term.
