Nurses in Need FundSupporting Nurses Through Financial Assistance GrantsAbout the ProgramThe Florida Nurses Foundation Nurses in Need Fund provides financial assistance to Registered Nurses in Florida who are in need by reason of age-related infirmity, illness, disability, catastrophe, or natural disasters such as hurricanes. The program will also provide guidance, information, and referral, as needed. Why Your Support MattersEvery day, nurses dedicate themselves to caring for others, but sometimes they are the ones in need of care. The Nurses in Need Fund provides a lifeline to nurses facing unexpected financial hardships—whether it's recovering from a natural disaster, dealing with a medical emergency, or simply struggling to make ends meet. Apply for a Nurses in Need Financial Assistance GrantThe typical funding amount for a Nurses in Need Grant is $500. To apply for a grant, download the appropriate application, complete the application, and send all requested information to fnaoffice@floridanurse.org. Applications are reviewed by the Florida Nurses Foundation Trustees. To be eligible for a Nurses in Need Grant, you must:

This fund helps nurses experiencing financial challenges due to infirmity, illness, disability, or other life-altering circumstances. We are NOT currently accepting general applications for the Nurses in Need Fund. ![]() Hurricane Relief Fund ApplicationThe Hurricane Relief Fund is launched after Florida residents are significantly impacted by a hurricane. Nurses in impacted areas may apply for assistance in their recovery process. We are NOT currently accepting applications for Hurricane Relief. All funds have been distributed.
