The Florida Nursing Students Association is one of the largest constituents of the National Student Nurse's Association and holds one of the largest state conventions with over 1,000 attendees from all over the state. The students that are active in FNSA represent the cream of the crop of Florida's future caregivers. In 1995, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2016 FNSA took top honors at the NSNA Convention bringing home the "State Excellence Award" as well as the "Membership Award" in our category in 1995, 1997, 2000, 2001, and 2003. In 2005, we also earned the "Outstanding State Newsletter Award" for the Hotline. Several schools and individuals from Florida have been honored with awards and have also been elected to serve on the national level including various positions on the NSNA Board of Directors.
