Week three closed out with the Senate passing their COVID liability package, the possibility of a gambling package, and the arrest of a past Senator. Here are some meetings of interest in week four:
On Monday the House Appropriations Committee will hear HB 7017, Foreign Influence by the Public Integrity & Elections Committee. This a top priority bill for Speaker Sprowls. The meeting begins at 12:30 p.m.
Also on Monday, the Senate Commerce and Tourism Committee will hear SB 1734 Consumer Data Privacy by Senator Bradley. This bill is heavily opposed by the business community. This bill is also a priority of the Governor and Speaker Sprowls.
On Tuesday the Children, Families and Elder Affairs Committee in the Senate will hear SB 634 Dementia-Related Staff Training by Senator Gibson. The committee begins at 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 24th is Representative Anthony Rodriguez’s 33rd Birthday.
The House and Senate are scheduled to be on their respective floors on Thursday. The Senate at 1 p.m. The House at 2:00 p.m. The House will hear the Senate COVID Liabilty bill, SB 72. Once the House approves the bill it will be sent to the Governor for approval.
