Nurses make a difference - whether it be in response to a national emergency or through daily routine care. The goal of National Nurses Month is spotlight the vital contributions that nurses make every day to the health and well-being of our communities. Each week will have a different focus. Learn more

 

 

Week 2 | May 10-16 | Recognition

 

Raise visibility of the critical work nurses do and foster greater understanding of the diversity of the nursing profession by honoring exemplary nurses and engaging with your community.

 

  • Recognize one or more nurses who excel, lead, and innovatethrough their exemplary courage, community service, advocacy, research and innovation, and years of commitment to the profession.
  • Nominate them for a Nurse ICON Award!

 

 

 

  • Place anarticle or opinion piecein your state or local newspaper(s), or in a community blog, about Nurses Month and the contributions of nurses.
