The Florida Nurses Association (FNA), a prominent organization committed to advancing the nursing profession and advocating for healthcare excellence, proudly announces the appointment of its new North Central Region Director, LeeAnn Barfield. 
LeeAnn Barfield, PhD(c), DNP, APRN LeAnn Barfield is a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), and Educator at Florida State University. Over the course of her career, she has actively participated in the nursing community, both in clinical practice and academia. She has a deep appreciation for the challenges and opportunities facing nurses in Florida and is particularly motivated to contribute to the FNA's mission of promoting excellence in nursing practice, education, and leadership throughout the state. Her background in both clinical and nursing education has equipped her with a unique perspective on the evolving needs of nursing professionals and educators. LeAnn is committed to fostering collaboration, advocating for the interests of nurses, and promoting initiatives that enhance the quality of nursing care in our state.
