Governor DeSantis Recognizes National Nurses Week in Florida

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Governor Ron DeSantis has officially recognized National Nurses Week in Florida with the signing of a formal proclamation honoring the critical contributions of nurses across the state. The proclamation, signed in May 2025, designates May 6–12 as National Nurses Week in Florida.

This annual observance celebrates the dedication, compassion, and professionalism of Florida’s nurses, who serve as the backbone of the healthcare system. The Governor’s proclamation  acknowledges the pivotal role nurses play in promoting health, providing expert care, and supporting the well-being of individuals and communities throughout the state.

The Florida Nurses Association applauds this recognition and encourages all Floridians to join in expressing gratitude to nurses for their tireless service and commitment to advancing health care in Florida.
