Below is a listing of the scholarships and grants that are available through the Florida Nurses Foundation. Each year, the Foundation Trustees review applications and match applicants to available scholarships and/or grants. This list is provided for reference only. Applicants do not apply for a specific scholarship or grant. Their applications are reviewed and matched to the scholarship/grant which they fit the criteria for.

Florida Nurses Foundation Scholarships are listed below by Region of the state. Select the Region in which you reside or attend school to see available scholarships. Please remember that when submitting an application, you will NOT apply for a specific scholarship. This list is for reference only.

Ruth Finamore Scholarship Fund

Open to all levels

Agnes Naughton RN-BSN Fund

This fund is established to honor Agnes Naughton who was a lifelong FNA member and the mother of FNA Executive Director Paula Massey. She valued education and this scholarship will assist a RN who is continuing his or her education

Iona Pettingill Scholarship

Statewide; Open to any nursing student interested in public health

District 3 Scholarship

Two scholarships annually
Preference to Marion County Residents
BSN generic students only

Great 100 Nursing Scholarship Nursing

Student residing in Northeast Florida and enrolled at least one semester in an undergraduate or graduate RN program.

Open to all active RNs residing in NE Florida

Kay F. Fullwood Northeast Florida Geriatric Nursing Scholarship Fund

Eligibility Criteria:

Nursing student who resides within the Northeast Florida area (Nassau, Duval, Baker, Clay, & Bradford Counties) and is currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program of study in nursing with a focus on geriatrics; OR 1. Nursing student who resides within the Northeast Florida area (Nassau, Duval, Baker, Clay, & Bradford Counties) and is currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program of study in nursing with a focus on geriatrics; OR

A practicing Geriatric NP currently enrolled in an accredited DNP program of study and who seeks to focus in the care of older adults; OR

A practicing Geriatric nurse requesting financial assistance for presentation of geriatric studies/research, or attendance at a nursing conference with a geriatric focus. Must be licensed in the state of Florida.

District 8 Charlotte Anzalone Scholarship Fund

Open to generic RN students and graduate students

Preference given to residents of Orlando, Seminole, and Osceola counties

District 14 Marcy Klosterman Memorial Scholarship Fund Lake County

Preference given to Lake County residents

District 6 (formerly District 18) Scholarship Fund Volusia County

Six (6) scholarships available each year: Two named scholarships for Volusia County residents:"Lillian Hulla, Friend of Nursing" and "Olive Seymour" and Four generic scholarships available statewide

District 4 Florida Nurses Scholarship/Research Award Hillsborough County

Open to generic RN students and graduate students
Open to Hillsborough county residents only
May be given as a scholarship or a research grant

Ruth Jacobs District 46 Scholarship (formerly Districts 13 and 33)

Open to Pinellas County residents only
Priority given to RNs

District 20 The Evelyn Baxter Memorial Fund Manatee County

Open to Manatee County residents only
ADN, BSN, MSN, PhD/DNS ARNP students

District 46 Olive Ramsey Memorial Scholarship Fund

Pinellas or Pasco Counties
2.5 GPA for undergraduates 3.2 for graduate students

Elizabeth M. Willis District 46 Scholarship *NEW Fund*

Resides, works, volunteers or studies in Pinellas County, Florida, with preference to residents, workers, volunteers and students in St. Petersburg;

Enrolled in and diligently pursuing a formal academic accredited nursing program with priority to RN’s advancing their degree;

Active in school, professional, and/or community organizations with preference to volunteers at hospitals within St. Petersburg or with the American Red Cross;

Demonstrates capabilities and traits of leadership and community service.

District 24 Erma B. Kraft Scholarship Fund Indian River County

Generic student, resides in Indian County

Goodman Family Nursing Scholarship Fund *NEW Fund*

Undergraduate students who are members of their Student Nurses Association; Palm Beach County only

Ingeborg Mauksch Scholarship

Preference to Lee County Residents

District 21 Louise Fiske Memorial Scholarship Fund

Undergraduate or Graduate, Resident of Broward County

Nina Brookins Scholarship Fund (District 5 Charitable Trust)

Preference given to a student living and/or attending school in South Florida

Eleanor Bindrum Scholarship Fund (District 5 Charitable Trust)

Preference given to a perioperative nurse returning to school in South Florida

Charlotte Liddell Scholarship Fund (District 5 Charitable Trust)

Preference given to a student focusing on psychiatric nursing attending school in South Florida

Connie Dorry Memorial Fund

Resident of Dade County and enrolled in the MSN NP Program in an accredited school

Evelyn Frank McKnight

Open to all qualified applicants

Frieda Norton- District 5 Charitable Trust

Open to all qualified applicants

Undine Sams and Friends Research Grant Fund(District 5 Charitable Trust)

Preference given to nurse researcher from South Florida

Blanche Case Research Fund (District 5 Charitable Trust)

Preference given to nurse researcher from South Florida
